CANstruction & Food Drive

AIA West Jersey and the Deptford Mall partner to raise awareness about hunger in the community with Canstruction!

Join us for an intergalactic challenge where teams will harness their ingenuity to design, construct, and unveil structures that will awe the public and our panel of judges. Build day will occur on Saturday, May 4th, where teams of architects, engineers, contractors, and students will completed unique sculptures made entirely out of full cans of food, designed to the theme of "Send Hunger to a Galaxy Far Far Away".

All can sculptures will be on display at the Deptford Mall from Saturday, May 4th through Sunday, May 19th, providing visitors the opportunity to appreciate the creativity and artistry of these amazing designs.

In addition to the Canstruction event, the Deptford Mall is hosting a food drive to support the Food Bank of South Jersey. Shoppers are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate at the donation bins located in Center Court.

Canstruction® is a nonprofit organization that hosts annual competitions showcasing structures made entirely out of full cans of food. All of the cans used at Canstruction Pennsauken are donated to the Food Bank of South Jersey, helping to fight hunger in our community.
