Social Responsibility

Deptford Mall  is proud to be a community partner. We strive to meet community challenges through a combination of employee volunteerism, financial support, in-kind donations and partnerships with non-profit organizations which have missions consistent with our vision and values.

Community Partnerships

SODAT, Teen Center
Located here in Deptford Mall, SODAT, Services to overcome Drug Abuse Among Teenagers, is a safe haven for teens.
SODAT provides outpatient addictions counseling, student assistance programs, employee assistance programs, comprehensive primary and secondary prevention programs, community education, parenting skills training, family services programs, women's and men's programs, adolescent programs, and children support groups.

Deptford Twp. Library
Deptford Mall employees dedicate their time every Tuesday and Thursday to the Deptford Township Library Reading Program, "Catch the reading Bug!" in the children's library room.  This program for preschool children  involves reading, craft sessions and informational programs such as Fire Prevention and Recycling Volunteers also have helped by contributing at the Library Yard Sale and by shelving books.

March of Dimes
The March of Dimes’ mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. They carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight. Contribution Requests

Each year, Deptford Mall, will contribute a preset amount of funds in the form of Gift Cards, merchandise and use of property to a diverse group of organizations. Hundreds of requests are anticipated each year. Donation recipients may include civil organizations' education programs; food banks; foundations; hospitals and healthcare organizations; youth programs; performing arts and museums and many more. Each request is reviewed carefully, however, not all requests can be granted.
